SNL Spoof (or homage) of Robyn’s Music Video
Saturday Night Live comedian, Teran Killam, re-enacts Robyn’s video for CALL YOUR GIRLFRIEND at 4:30a on writing night. They look pretty bleary-eyed and this is hysterical.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Parent Video Challenge - I Gave My Kid a Terrible Present
Jimmy Kimmel comes up with the funniest stuff and I can’t believe parents actually do it and send these videos in. :)
I love anything Jonathan Adler does!!!
How to Make Poop Groovy
You don’t need us to tell you there’s nothing fabulous about diaper duty. Everyone knows that shit stinks.
But thanks to a collaboration between design guru Jonathan Adler and the baby geniuses at Skip Hop, your diaper bag doesn’t have to.
The just-launched diaper bag collection incorporates JA’s iconic mod patterns with Skip Hop’s fail-proof organizational prowess, so each carryall is as fetching as it is functional.
Skip Hop’s full-size Duo and Dash bags have been Adler-ized and include coordinating zip cases and laminated changing pads. The smaller Pronto changing station also gets an Adler-esque upgrade, packing a wallop of whimsy into each pint-size package.
If nothing else, you’ll look good when doodie calls.
Available online at skiphop.com, $34-$80.
Always room for more t-shirts!!!
UNDERCRWN x Upper Playground
Collaborations are usually pretty awesome…at least when it comes to fashion. Let us not forget about the time Bone Thugs N’ Harmony and Phil Collins collaborated on a track. Known for their basketball-inspired themes, UNDRCRWN recently teamed up with Upper Playground for a limited edition artist collection. Fortunately, as you can see here, the results are more Kanye x Estelle than Collins x Bone Thugs. $28
How cute are these???
Stephanie Elias Murals
You spent nine months agonizing over every detail of the animal-inspired nursery. Cut to three years later. Turns out butterflies are the only creature Sophie can stand.
If the writing is on the wall for your nursery decor, let Stephanie Elias transform the space with a custom mural.
After years of designing products for the likes of Pottery Barn Kids, LeapFrog, and Maclaren, Elias is returning to her artist roots, creating modern backdrops for kidlet bedrooms.
Big-picture planning starts by conferring with Mom and Dad. Once the parental units have set parameters, the real inspiration comes from a sit-down with the room dweller herself. Armed with your little one’s fantasy and taking cues from Japanese toys, Elias designs a dreamy mural before precisely painting it into place.
Created with zero VOC and nontoxic paint, the wall-size artworks are safe to wash with soap and water and guaranteed to please even the toughest critics.
No betting on the wrong horse.
Available online at seliasdesign.com, $800 and up.
New MEN IN BLACK 3 trailer!
Parent Teacher Conferences
When did school become so hard? And pre-school none the less! Isn’t pre-school just about finger paint and jungle gyms? Isn’t Kindergarten just about learning how to get through the morning without a nap? I barely remember pre-school and I went longer than most – two whole years. I have a January birthday so my parents decided to wait until I was 5.5+ to start Kindergarten. Most kids had their first taste of school when they hit Kindergarten and it was a rude awakening that some grown-up in the front of the room actually wanted you to line up and stand still!
Now we live on the west side of Los Angeles and EVERYONE is obsessed with starting their kids in school as soon as possible. There are videos to teach your baby to read and flash cards for numbers. When did we become this way? When did someone decide that teaching their kid to read and do math before Kindergarten was a GOOD idea? When did our aggressive pursuit of advancement extend to squeezing our children’s free-wheeling little brains and spirits into pre-determined silos of thinking and behavior? READ MORE
Trailer for Extremely Loud, Incredibly Close. Tom Hanks & Sandra Bullock about a man who dies on September 11th and his son’s search for clues after. Oh yeah, this one’s going to be a tear-jerker.
I’m lovin’ this holiday gift guide for the dude in your life!

Soap….hmmmmm.
Manly Man Natural Soap
Our whole idea of soap making got turned on its head after we saw Fight Club. Maybe the craft isn’t just for the Martha Stewart’s of the world, maybe a dude who isn’t afraid of a little lye burn can churn out some bars we would want. Further reiterating our point are these handmade soaps from Rocky Top Soap Company. You won’t find any lavender here, these are chock-full of guy-friendly ingredients like activated charcoal, fullers earth clay and organic coffee grounds. In the set of 4 bars you’ll have yourself a solid way to clean your face, hands and body along with a nice lathering bar for your next shave. They’re a much manlier option than the liquid “Ocean Breeze” or “Mellow Morning Dew” you might be using now. $20

My IzzyB
Everyone writes about being thankful, grateful around this time of year and I won’t be any exception. It’s just too easy and feels like the right thing to do.
It’s been a rough twelve months. Not the kind of rough when you’re diagnosed with cancer or your world gets turned upside down because someone close to you dies. It wasn’t the earth shattering kind. It was just the normal, life comes at you from lots of angles kind of rough.
In early December last year we started to get a sprinkling that would soon become a full blown hurricane. READ MORE
They’re from Belgium…don’t all good things come from Belgium? :)
Atoma Notebooks
There are a few things you need to know about these Atoma notebooks from Belgium. First, everything is in German which, while confusing, makes them even cooler in our opinion. Second, Atoma has been making notebooks like this one for 60 years so they clearly know what they’re doing. Most importantly, they’re freaking gorgeous. Each notebook has 144 perforated, blank pages protected by Texon coverd. The really unique part though is the binding system. The rings pass through each sheet of paper, but aren’t connected to each other. It’s like a high-end, more grown-up version of the notebook that lived in your Trapper Keeper decades ago. It’s a notebook so perfectly simple it’s engineered and not designed. $17+
