Me Being MIA

Hey guys,
Sorry I’ve been a little MIA but I had a gnarly cycling accident on Sunday that has had me laid up ever since and probably will for a few more days.

I was riding back from Malibu when my riding partner went around a tall cone and I didn’t have enough time to react fast enough. It appears that my face hit the pavement first - I highly recommend not doing that. But the short version is that I had my first trip in an ambulance at 42 and a number of very good looking firemen, paramedics and police hovering around me for awhile.

In the end, I broke my nose, got stitches in my nose and lower lip, bit the hell out of my tongue, got road rash on both legs and arms, severed a tendon or something in one finger and have abrasions right down the middle of my face. All that plus the bruising and black eyes, I look like hell.

I’m supposed to take time off right before Labor Day so I might not get fully back on the blogging horse until after that. I hope you guys are well and enjoying life. I’m watching a lot of tv. :)
