So effing awesome!!! Want!
Cupa-Rocks Tumblers
We’re kind of purists when it comes to the liquor we imbibe. Adding water to a quality whiskey is as close to sacrilege as you can get in our minds (for the record, water backs are fine). When someone told us that adding oxygen opened up the flavor like it does with wine we thought they were pulling our legs…until we realized that we’d been doing it all along by swirling. This two pack of lead-free, crystal Cupa-Rocks Tumblers takes all the effort out of oxygenating your booze with the assistance of the top-like shape that makes it swirl on its own. $50
Need this for my Dad!!!
Roller Rock Glass
There are many whiskey drinkers out there who would welcome the invention of some sort of whiskey glass lid to keep out all impurities—ice included. Us, we happen to like a couple of fingers chilled. The thing both sides can agree on is ice from your fridge dispenser has no place making a splash landing in some Jack. If you happen to like your drink on the rocks but hate the fact that you end up diluting whatever you’re imbibing, invest in this Roller Rock Glass. Just freeze up a 2″ ice ball with the included mold and drop that sucker in the glass. The glass is designed to let the ice roll across the bottom and open up all the aromatics your drink has stored away while it chills without diluting. Plus, swirling it at a cocktail party while pondering some deep thoughts will surely attract some ladies. $22
OMG…these glasses are gorgeous. I need some! I edited Cool Material’s editorial below to also include girls who like a spirit in a whiskey glass! Heehee!
Rikke Hagen Whiskey Glasses
If you’re still consuming whiskey out of red Solo cups, it’s time to grow up. As men (and women), we are blessed with a few drinks that are both elegant and delicious, and while those cups might not do much about the taste, they sure as hell aren’t helping the elegance part. For a distinctively grown up way to consume some Johnny Walker Blue Label, we’re digging the sophistication of these Rikke Hagen glasses from Normann Copenhagen. The curve at the bottom of the glass is designed so you can hold and swirl your drink like The Most Interesting Man or Woman in the World (you know, when she’s not drinking Dos Equis). $61
I love these…maybe I’ll have to get them for my Dad since I’m not a scotch drinker!!
Steel Ice Cubes
Ice is pretty simple. Pour some water into a plastic tray, throw it in the freezer, and wait. It’s easy, cheap and will, ultimately, make your drink cold. Unfortunately, that also means it’s going to water it down which is not something you want when you’re drinking the fancy, special occasion booze. These one inch stainless steel cubes are the perfect alternative to whiskey stones because they’re not porous and won’t absorb any of the good stuff. Each stainless cube in the four pack is filled with a non-toxic gel that will keep your drink as cold and delicious as it is shiny.
I’m loving all these cool ice cube things for drinks…
Stainless Steel Ice Cubes
Ice is pretty simple. Pour some water into a plastic tray, throw it in the freezer, and wait. If you’re impatient, you select crushed or cubed on your fancy french door fridge and stick a cup underneath the spout. Either way, you end up with a bunch of frozen chunks of water that, awesomely, makes your drink cold and, unfortunately, dilutes it to the point that it’s as much water as it is booze. You could go the whiskey stones route, but there’s also another option – Stainless Steel Ice Cubes. Four 1″ stainless steel cubes filled with a non-toxic gel that will make your drink as shiny as it is cold and delicious. $25
