Questionable Taste ALERT: the following post is really funny to me but might not be to you. View at your own risk!! :) Completely NSFW although it has an amazingly catchy backbeat.
Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)
If Cee Lo Green can have a chart-topping song that employs the F-word right there in its retro-sounding chorus, why can’t Lloyd score his own hit using a commonly used nickname for a woman’s genitalia? In this similarly Mowtown-inspired Polow Da Don production, R&B singer Lloyd complains about a cheating girlfriend who took her ladybits elsewhere, while Andre 3000 throws down a verse and Lil Wayne drops in for some brief narration.
Interesting look at how much User Generated Content there is and how Social Network companies are monetizing it at Fast Company’s Co.Design.
I like t-shirts. Have you noticed? I especially like boys in t-shirts - I mean girls too, don’t get me wrong but boy t-shirts are fun. Check out this line of tees by Andy Mueller. The Quiet Life is his LA-based project that releases limited edition items, including quite a few good looking t-shirts. Representing various themes, the graphics and photographs used make for a unique collection with style that’s anything but quiet. $18+
P.S. - This picture is our daughter (Baby A) being held by the famous Dr. C. :)
My Realization That Doctors Are Amazing
If you’ve been reading our story for the past year or if you had a first-row view of our challenges to create our family, I’m sure you understand the lows and highs that came along with the ride. You understood that this was a marathon, not a sprint. You understood that patience and hard work would see us through. But you see, I’m slow. I struggled and fought and resisted every step of the way. I didn’t want to give in, didn’t want to let go, and I didn’t want to trust. At some point, over time, it slowly sunk in. It sunk in that I wasn’t in control, that I couldn’t make all the decisions, and that I needed these people in my life who were trying to help me. They were helping me regardless of my questions or my hesitations or my need to understand every last detail. Those doctors and nurses were keeping our unborn children growing and eventually they not only kept them alive but also kept Tere alive when everything went to hell in a hand basket. (By the way, being a parent gives you the right to use old-time phrases like that – it’s pretty awesome!) Read More

Warby Parker Eyewear
fullydomesticated replied to your photo: Warby Parker Eyewear Ok, I might have just seen…
My fella just did their “try five” program—they send 5 pairs to try at home. It was awesome. He put in an order right away, and I played dress up with them til he sent them back. Next time I need glasses that’s where I’m going!
I LOVE THAT!!! Thanks for sharing your experience. :) I also like that you call him your “fella”. :)
Warby Parker Eyewear
Ok, I might have just seen this on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday but I LOVE this!! Reasonably inexpensive designer eye wear AND they give a pair of glasses away for every one you buy (like Tom’s shoes). We need more of this in the world!
They haven’t worked up to sunglasses, bi-focals or progressive lenses yet and although their primary business is online, they do have showrooms in San Francisco, New York, Oklahoma City and Portland. Check them out!!

Thanks!! Take one this weekend and “photo reply” with it!
The Lifestyle
A few years ago, two friends and I started a little picture project. Whenever one of us was somewhere that everyone should want to be, he would send a picture of his “point-of-view” along with whatever drink was in his hand. This project has produced a lot of awesome shots that we would all want to be the owner of.
I’ve attached our latest batch from Memorial Day weekend 2011. Want to add yours?
Undoboy’s Dreamland
If you saw my blog today, this is a fast-speed wall installation of Undoboy’s Dreamland by Blik. It’s what I tried to emulate when I did the babies’ nursery when they were about 6 months old. It was sort of insane!!
Do You Have What it Takes to Design Your Baby’s Nursery?
It’s a tricky thing to design your first baby nursery. Many couples have two (or more) babies and so maybe they have the opportunity to do it a couple times. We had one opportunity since our first pregnancy was a set of twins – or a “litter” as someone called them once. I was maniacal about not wanting to paint the nursery pink or baby blue and Tere agreed we should keep it gender neutral. With all of our pregnancy complications, we ended up doing almost nothing. Actually less than nothing. All we did was add a crib and rocker to our home office. That was it. It was now an office/nursery. The babies slept in the same crib for about six months. To be honest, they could have slept together for a really long time but inevitably one of them would kick the other while sleeping and immediate crying would ensue. We decided to separate them. Although the desk stayed, we did move out everything else from the room and added the second crib. What happened next was absolutely my fault. I take full ownership. Read More
