This video shot on a GoPro strapped to a quad-copter is a must watch for anyone who loves LA as much as I hope you do. This guy got his remote-controlled copter INCREDIBLY high - like to the top of the Capitol Records building high. Unbelievable. Made me remember why I love LA so much. :)

I’m super interested in seeing what this becomes over the next 6 months. This is from Eater LA’s site but it sounds promising!!!
In 1987 Ruth Reichl, then at The Times, gave a mixed review to Four Oaks on Beverly Glen, the French restaurant (formerly Cafe Four Oaks) operated by “Henri Labadie (who was the first maitre d’ at Spago), Michel Blanchard (who ran Le Castel in San Francisco) and chef Claude Segal (who went from Ma Maison to Bistango).“
But fast forward to the present and Four Oaks, on the market for $3.5 million, finally has new owners. After six years of non-use, Robert Walsh, a landscape designer and organic produce farmer, and Sandra Costa, a sustainable restaurant designer, have signed a 20 year lease for the property. It worked! It only took about 30 minutes until we got thru via the Uber app but we got our Carvel ice cream sandwiches at our office in about 4 minutes. Super fun. Cute ice cream man. The ice cream sandwiches were REALLY good. AND they gave us some $20 off cards!! Feels like a win-win to me!
Chef Eric Nelson Brown
Remember Chef Eric? He crushed our second Eat+Drink Supper Club event with his amazing sushi. He also happens to be my cousin. At our most recent family gathering, he rustled up some amazing salsa (not pictured because everyone ate it too fast) and delish chili rellenos. My cousin Leigh appears to want to eat them all in one bite.

Dwell Magazine: The Joy of Cooking
I saw this in the latest edition of Dwell magazine and thought you might find it interesting. Some fascinating little gadgets. I especially like the completely unnecessary (but fun) letter D - Le Whaf by The Lab Store Paris. Pulsating crystals in the bottom of the carafe turn any liquid into clouds you can inhale. Now that’s FUN!
